Our days of walking the hospital halls as student nurses have ended…..next time “the walk” will be as RNs!!!!!!!!
the morning drive to my clinical isn’t as bad when i’m listening to jinja safari on the way, but now i feel like i should be in a forest…..running around….naked.

results:
-first patient interaction was going well until he started making sexual comments towards me. after ending the session, he then proceeded to masturbate in the dayroom.
-second patient was a walkie-talkie to the max. i couldn’t even get a word out.
-witnessed a patient put a staff in a headlock. a code was called. all students had to leave the unit. last thing i saw when i looked back were four staff members on each limb trying to hold him down.
conclusion:
i have a newfound respect for psych nurses and basically all the staff in these hospitals and facilities. hollywood is definitely not overdramatizing. this will be a long three weeks.
